I have found one of the coolest gadgets for the photographer and video game enthusiast. The Parrot AR.Drone is a quadricopter aircraft with a built in camera. This is a great tool to capture aerial video. This tool can not be used for HDR, but it was too cool to pass up.
The Parrot AR.Drone is a quadricopter which means it’s similar to a helicopter but it uses 4 propellers rather than a single propeller. The drone is then controlled using an iPhone or iPadso you will need one or the other in order to use the Parrot AR.Drone. On the front of the drone there is a camera mounted with a wide angled lens. The camera is used for video, and for the drones navigation. Here are a details on the the camera:
- 93° wide-angle diagonal lens camera, CMOS sensor
- Encoding and live streaming of images on iPhone
- Camera resolution 640x480 pixels (VGA)
- Video feedback on the iPod touch /iPhone/ iPad screen
This fun gadget might not be ideal for HDR, but it is still a fun way to enjoy recording video.
